Visiting the Campus
A typical campus visit at Southern Miss lasts approximately one to two hours and can include:
- a meeting with an admissions counselor to discuss admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, on-campus housing, and student life
- a tour of the campus and a residence hall led by a student tour guide
- an appointment with faculty in your student’s proposed area of study
Before you visit, you may want to get directions to the Office of Admissions and check out area hotel accommodations. Hattiesburg is an ideal college town featuring a historic downtown, eclectic restaurants and shops, and close proximity to Jackson, the Mississippi Gulf Coast, New Orleans and Mobile. We hope that you take some time to explore our beautiful city!
