Scholarships

The University of Southern Mississippi's Office of Admissions also has several wonderful scholarship programs for incoming students. The university has several competitive freshman scholarships available based on academics, leadership, and community service.

Leadership Award and Luckyday Scholarship

The Leadership and Luckyday Scholarships are both valued at $10,000 each and are two of the most popular scholarships at Southern Miss.

Academic Excellence Award

Students are automatically considered for the Academic Excellence Award if they score a minimum of 24 ACT or combined 1090 SAT.

Regional Award

Based on academic performance and leadership involvement nonresidents may qualify for the Regional Award, which waives full or partial out-of-state fees. For more information on these and other scholarship opportunities, please visit the following links.
